The year 2024 proved to be an incredibly busy and productive period for me and my dedicated team at our main office located in Austin, Texas. One of the greatest joys of operating a small, founder-driven enterprise is the opportunity to share these personal milestones and updates directly with our community. This year, I intentionally shifted some attention away from facial skincare to develop effective solutions for body skin, including a wellness-oriented item. These launches have been an absolute delight, and the enthusiastic response from customers has been overwhelming.

Wake Me Up Shower Spray – This product revolutionizes your daily shower routine. Undoubtedly the most significant announcement of the year: for the very first time, Renée Rouleau products are available for purchase through licensed estheticians and skincare experts throughout the United States. I fully appreciate that our devoted customers desire a tangible experience with our lineup – the ability to touch, smell, sample innovations, and perhaps indulge in a signature Renée Rouleau facial, which many of you have long requested.

I've consistently declined numerous propositions from major retailers and distributors. Unlike larger chains that prioritize volume sales and metrics above all else, often at the expense of authenticity, I refuse to compromise. Founders frequently lose their vision under investor pressure, a scenario I've witnessed too often, and it's simply not the path I choose. (I retain full ownership of the company and delve into these dynamics on various platforms.) However, expanding availability beyond online channels into professional settings thrills me, especially partnering with estheticians and trained skincare specialists – true kindred spirits who embody my ethos. The excitement is palpable!

Welcoming New Estheticians to Our Growing Team

Reflecting on my past, when I operated skincare spas in Dallas (and earlier in Boston), I was constantly surrounded by fellow estheticians, fostering a vibrant exchange of ideas. After closing the Dallas locations five years ago to focus exclusively on products, I felt the absence keenly. To reconnect with those roots and harness fresh perspectives for innovation, customer support, social engagement, and marketing, we've expanded our esthetician roster. Recently, we've brought on Amanda and Maddie, whom you'll connect with via phone or email. Our commitment to personalized service remains unwavering.

The Beloved ‘FLO-vember’ Challenge Lives On

For those familiar with my story, my husband Florian – my partner of 22 years and our company's COO – passed away six years ago after a valiant but brief fight with cancer. During his lifetime, we honored November (his birth month) with the ‘FLO-vember Challenge,’ pledging to a daily health objective for the entire month. (Burpees were a frequent culprit – not always welcome!) My team and I have faithfully upheld this ritual, serving as a poignant reminder of health's paramount importance while keeping his vibrant energy alive. I feel certain he's beaming with pride.

Bridging Estheticians and Dermatologists in Collaboration

A cherished aspect of the beauty realm is the opportunity to connect with brilliant minds – innovative thinkers and creators whose insights continually inspire me.

November brought a major highlight: my second appearance at the Science of Skincare Summit, where I wore three hats – speaker, co-chair of the esthetician track, and exhibitor highlighting our collection. This event's uniqueness lies in uniting estheticians and dermatologists, a collaboration historically rare despite our shared goal of elevating skin health through varied methodologies. Dynamics are evolving positively, fostering mutual respect for our distinct yet complementary approaches. It was a privilege to share a panel with renowned dermatologists, advocating for estheticians.
